The Master of Social Work (MSW) is a thesis-based qualification for current social work professionals seeking to extend their knowledge and practice. Designed for those who hold a professional social work qualification, the programme supports advanced study of a specific aspect of social and community work, including research and theory in an Aotearoa New Zealand context. Coursework includes social work practice research, diversity and decolonisation, leadership, clinical supervision, mental health, and family-centred practice. Graduates will be equipped to take on leadership, management, education, and research roles across social service fields.
