Cultural Awareness
Relate the history of Māori as tangata whenua and knowledge of person-whānau interconnectedness to your own role in a health and wellbeing setting.
Reflective and Professional Practice
Display self-awareness, reflective practice, and personal leadership in a health and wellbeing setting.
What You're Signing Up For
This certificate provides students the skills to work alongside people and whānau across the health and wellbeing sectors, particularly with a focus on mental health and addiction support. The programme equips you with strategies to foster hope, support recovery and build resilience in individuals and families, as well as professional, communication, and leadership skills tailored to the social services context.
