The diploma focusses on foundational knowledge of wellbeing, bicultural social work concepts, and reflective practice. It is ideal for current and aspiring professionals in social services and community roles who wish to build capability in whānau-centred approaches. Core principles include whanaungatanga, kaitiakitanga, te tika me te pono, manaakitanga, rangatiratanga, and ngā pūkenga. Delivered through blended learning with one on-campus workshop per week, students will gain theoretical knowledge, practical skills, and the support of kaiako.
