About This Course
Te Pikitanga ki Awarua | Bachelor of Arts (Māori) Honours at EIT is a one-year, Level 8 programme designed to build advanced knowledge in Māori cultural, historical, and contemporary studies. The programme enables you to undertake research in te reo Māori, develop critical skills in academic discourse, and meaningfully engage with the place of Māori in Aotearoa New Zealand. Graduates are equipped for careers requiring in-depth knowledge of Māori language and society, including education, research, cultural consultancy, and community leadership. The programme can be completed full-time or part-time, both online and on-campus.
