Gain an understanding of sport, exercise, and recreation concepts, including health, wellbeing, and coaching practices.
The Certificate in Sport and Recreation at AUT is aimed at developing the skills and knowledge necessary for further tertiary study or a career in the sport and recreation sector or health sciences. The programme builds confidence and core skills including academic writing, communication, computer literacy, and time management, as well as foundational understanding in coaching, health and wellbeing, and sport and fitness. It is especially suitable for students without University Entrance who wish to progress into a relevant bachelor's degree.

Completion of Year 13 (New Zealand).
Applicants without University Entrance may be admitted if their academic record indicates a reasonable chance of success (case-by-case basis).
