The Sport and Exercise Science major in the Bachelor of Sport, Exercise and Health at AUT is designed for students passionate about understanding and enhancing athletic performance. You will study four main themes: strength and conditioning, performance analysis, biomechanics, and exercise physiology. The degree has close ties with the AUT Sports Performance Research Institute New Zealand (SPRINZ), giving students access to cutting-edge research. The programme includes foundational study in anatomy and physiology, applied sport science courses, and extensive work-integrated learning opportunities. Graduates go on to a variety of roles in sport, exercise, and health industries.
