Be able to explain and apply knowledge of the musculo-skeletal system relevant to exercise and sport.

Gain knowledge and skills related to professional practice in the recreation and sport industry.

Explain the relationship between nutrition, physical activity, health behaviours, and overall health.
The NZ Diploma in Sport, Recreation and Exercise (Level 5) at EIT offers full-time or part-time study in sport, exercise science, and recreation. Students gain knowledge and practical skills in anatomy, physiology, nutrition, health, coaching, sport management, and group fitness. The programme prepares graduates for diverse roles in sport and fitness, with career opportunities including personal training, recreation and community health roles, and further study options. Graduates are recognised as personal trainers by the Register of Exercise Professionals.
