Operate within health and wellness frameworks to support the wellbeing of clients and communities.
The New Zealand Certificate in Exercise (Level 4) equips students with essential skills for delivering exercise instruction within a health and wellness framework. Graduates will be able to adapt and design exercise programmes, demonstrate professional and safe practices, use knowledge of anatomy and physiology, apply motivational techniques, and support business practices as exercise professionals. The programme supports career pathways in exercise consultancy, fitness instruction, and personal training.
What you need to know first
Minimum 16 years of age (school leavers recommended to have NCEA Level 2 Physical Education papers)
Mature candidates (age 20+) may enter based on evidence of ability to succeed (e.g., previous Level 3+ study, sector employment)
