About This Course
This programme is for people who keep skiers and snowboarders safe on the mountain's lifts, roads, and carparks. It provides skills and knowledge to work as a lift operator or road and carpark attendant on a mountain facility, including snowsport areas. Training and assessment are workplace-based, through a mix of core modules and electives focusing on lift operations or road/carpark services.

- Applying safe working procedures and practices
- Identifying and responding to risks and hazards
- Customer service
- Safely operate aerial lifts and maintain safe lift station (elective)
- Manage queuing, crowd control and lift access (elective)
- Identify and respond to road and carpark conditions, capacity, weather, terrain, and hazards (elective)
- Provide safe and effective road and carpark services including alpine driver technique advice (elective)
Entry Requirements
Must be employed, self-employed, or volunteering in an eligible mountain facility organisation with regular and consistent shifts.
