Core skills this course teaches
Ability to independently perform daily snowsport patrol functions
Graduates can carry out daily tasks and routines expected of a snowsport patroller, including monitoring and maintaining safety in recreational snowsport environments.
Provide first aid and emergency response
Graduates are equipped to provide emergency care as a first responder to incidents on the mountain, including injury management and initial rescue.
Implement hazard management and safety procedures

Graduates will be able to work independently and as part of a patrol team under supervision, providing vital safety and rescue services on the mountain.

- Skiing, tobogganing and/or snowboarding in all terrain conditions, including transporting patients
- Mountaineering techniques including rope rescue and ski touring
