The New Zealand Certificate in Adult and Tertiary Teaching (Level 5) is a two-year, part-time, work-based programme designed for those already working as educators or trainers in adult or tertiary contexts. Learners engage in a blend of facilitated, self-directed, and work-integrated study, developing skills in teaching approaches, assessment, moderation, and learner-centred practice. The certificate is a required qualification for some tertiary education roles in Aotearoa New Zealand. Study is supported by online resources and on-campus classes, and participants are expected to apply their learning directly to their work environments.
