The Master of Teaching and Learning at the University of Waikato is an intensive, research-informed teaching qualification designed to prepare students to become registered teachers in primary or secondary education. Participants will develop critical understanding of research-based pedagogical approaches, learning theory, inquiry skills, and subject content knowledge. The course includes 80 days of classroom experience and focuses on teaching diverse learners, curriculum design, and evidence-based inquiry. Graduates are equipped for teaching and leadership roles in education.
