About This Course
This advanced programme deepens students' skills and knowledge in the visual arts through both practical studio work and theoretical research. Students develop proposal-based art projects, present their work publicly, and produce a substantial research essay. The qualification emphasises critical engagement, independent learning, and participation in a vibrant arts community, preparing graduates for higher-level roles in the arts sector and related industries.

- Development of critically engaged studio work
- Oral seminar paper and essay (semester one)
- Public exhibition of original work (semester two)
- Extended 7,500-word research essay
- Studio practice across ceramics, electronic arts, jewellery & metalsmithing, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, and textiles
- Art theory and contemporary art history

Entry Requirements
A postgraduate visual arts qualification with a minimum of 60 credits at Level 8 and an overall grade of B (70%) or higher
