Core skills this course teaches
Execute jewellery fabrication techniques
Graduates can accurately perform fabrication techniques including dimensions, filing, forming, wirework, soldering, settings, and polishing.
Create complex jewellery designs
Ability to add features to designs such as stone settings, back-holes, bezels, shank designs, brooch pins, and bales.
Understand culturally safe work practices
Students understand and can apply culturally safe practices in a jewellery workshop.

The Certificate in Jewellery at Whitecliffe is an 18-week full-time programme designed for those interested in the manufacturing process of jewellery and looking to start a career in the jewellery or goldsmithing industry. It combines theoretical knowledge and practical skills, covering precision, accuracy, design, and problem-solving, and culminates in a design and make project. Graduates will be equipped for entry-level industry roles or further study.

- Jewellery fabrication techniques: dimensions, marking out, forming, filing, soldering, making settings
- Cutting stone holes, back holes, wirework, shank designs, bezels, pips, brooch pins and bales
